The Mental Health workshop is for adults who are experiencing or have experienced a mental health issue and covers their rights regarding consent to heath care and forced hospitalization. Participants discover legal information through scenarios.

Note: The Mental Health workshop is an introduction on the right to consent to health care and the rights of people who are hospitalized against their will.

Learning Objectives

At the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:

• Know their rights regarding consent to health care and forced hospitalization.

• Know who to contact to get more information and what they can do to ensure their rights are respected.
